Nepal's journey over the past 50 years has been nothing short of remarkable. Once classified as a Least Developed Country (LDC) with rampant poverty and hunger, it has now met the key thresholds for graduation, standing as a testament to its resilience and dedication to development. This progress wasn't easy, with the scars of a decade-long conflict and natural disasters still visible.
The UN Resident Coordinator system has played a crucial role in this transformation, serving as a key bridge between the government and development partners. By ensuring effective and coherent support, the UN has helped Nepal navigate its complex path and prepare for LDC graduation.
