Head of Resident Coordinator's Office in Niger

Since 2020, Daniel Ladouceur led Niger's Resident Coordinator’s Office. He spearheaded the elaboration of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework/UNSDCF (2023-2027), uniting 24 UN agencies across development, humanitarian, and peace-building sectors. This inclusive approach fostered dialogues with government, NGOs, and civil society, aligning the framework with national priorities and advancing the UN reform in Niger. The investment in such an inclusive process yielded benefits across the whole UN.

Amid the pandemic, Daniel supported the Resident Coordinator to streamline the coordination mechanisms, positioning the Office as a vital facilitator for policy discussions among the government, UN, and partners. A true exemplar of innovative solutions, he championed ILLIMI Niger, an interactive data platform offering valuable insights through real-time dashboards and self-service analytics with AI-driven capacity currently in development. This platform provides access to a wealth of information collected by UN entities, the national statistics and the World Bank from 1960 onwards. With almost 1500 registered users is poised to become a cornerstone of the Sahel data ecosystem.

In partnership with the Prime Minister’s office, the platform's analyses inform joint meetings, showcasing Daniel’s leadership, collaboration, and knack for innovation. His multidimensional contributions underscore his commitment to enhancing Niger’s development, humanitarian, and peace-building efforts.
