Economist in Multi-Country Office Jamaica

What intrigues an RCO economist in small island countries? Stuart Davies has brought a wealth of experience and networking to support joint planning by the UN in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Jamaica since May 2022. Previously, he served in a similar capacity in the Multi-country office for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, where he was part of a vibrant cross-regional team working with the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network on an index to measure multi-dimensional vulnerabilities.

He also helped support the UN country team on innovative financing solutions for the Caribbean. Leveraging the global network of UN economists, he supported the UN country team in addressing innovative financing to support the country on blue economy transformation. In Jamaica, he is providing similar support to the UN’s work to address the Government’s ambition on economic transformation towards blue, green, orange, and circular economies.
