Communications Officer in the United Arab Emirates

Meet Sara Chatila, the Communications Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who plays a key role in coordinating UN engagements with local counterparts and publicizing the work of over 31 UN entities on the ground. She can be proud of her work to promote the “UN Hub” of the Expo2020 Dubai global event, which resulted in the UN Hub being the most visited UN premise during the Expo2020 period globally and in 2021, receiving over 100,000 visits. Expo2020 Dubai helped strengthen the role of the UN in support of the UAE and scaled the UN’s impact through the power of communication.

The team is similarly gearing up for an upcoming new milestone: the UN’s participation at the Climate Change Conference (COP28) to be hosted by the UAE in 2023.
