Communications Officer in Montenegro

Meet Vlatko Otasevic, the Communications Officer in the Resident Coordinator Office in Montenegro. Vlatko has more than a decade of experience in shaping a more coherent UN approach, including the early “Delivering as One” stages, for a more collaborative work culture where each UN agency brings its added value to the table to better support the critical priorities in Montenegro.

Vlatko is particularly proud of leading successful campaigns focused on debunking stereotypes and raising awareness on domestic violence. He helped launch a video tutorial on domestic violence, which reached over 25k people. To address the deep gender stereotypes in the country and region, he facilitated a partnership with a leading hip-hop band in Montenegro, which reached over 200K people. By partnering with a drama studio to actively involve over 3000+ high school students to address violence against women in adolescent age; these UN75 campaign efforts mobilized over 1 per cent of the population to take action.
