Communications Officer in Gabon

Meet Dior Blaiseau, the Communications Officer in the Resident Coordinator Office in Gabon, who is passionate about unified communications to promote the UN work and support to the country and its people to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dior is proud of the UN75 campaign in 2020, when she organized consultations with youth during the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the constraints and lockdowns, she used a hybrid outreach format managing to reach 50 representatives of civil society and youth. As a result of these consultations, the Resident Coordinator’s Office was able to develop new ways of engaging hard-to-reach populations. She also led the development of video clips in partnership with the TV Station Gabon24 to produce a report on the work of the United Nations in Gabon. As a result of these advocacy efforts, the understanding of the work of the UN has increased greatly; the UN’s Facebook page has reached over 10k followers.
