Communications Officer in China

As the Head of Communications in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in China, Louise Xi LI is responsible for leading the overall strategic advocacy and communications efforts for the UN in China. Louise is proud of her work to convene over 50 communications officers and focal points for key strategies and nationwide campaigns around the Sustainable Development Goals and to conceptualize, build public-private-partnerships and lead initiatives advocating for a wide array of issues.

This proved especially significant during the pandemic, where the lives of young people in China and across the world were upended by the COVID-19 pandemic:  a nationwide campaign on youth engagement was supported through a series of online dialogues where youth showcased creativity and ingenuity via submitting over 10,000 potential solutions, interacting directly with national experts and policy makers.
