Head of Resident Coordinator's Office in Cambodia

Meet Nimol Soth, the Head of Resident Coordinator's Office in his native Cambodia who is committed to supporting innovative approaches to the UN’s development work in the country. Nimol is proud of his work in supporting the Resident Coordinator’s leadership to promote a collaborative culture and systems thinking within the UN country team. In 2022, Nimol assisted the Resident Coordinator and the UN country team to launch the Cambodia Futures Lab, a collective leadership and learning journey on systems transformation in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia. The Lab has brought together stakeholders from government, private sector and civil society and the UN to rethink how cross-sectoral issues of social protection, climate change and digital transformation can be taken into consideration in wide range of policy solutions. Nimol currently supports the UN country team in preparing the new programme of cooperation with the government for the period (2024-2028), ensuring high quality analysis and strong stakeholder engagement for the UN to effectively support the aspirations of Cambodia, including for graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) group.
