Finding Joint Solutions for Internally Displaced People in Niger

By leveraging the experience and expertise of each UN agency in Niger towards a common set of goals and objectives, the Resident Coordinator has ensured that the UN country team is more than the sum of its parts. On the issue of education for example – a key development priority for the Government of Niger, the UN country team has worked collaboratively to progress educational reform, including for the protection of girls and expanded access to education for all children across the country. 

Under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator, UN agencies have also come together to engage more closely with communities in need, and work in coordination with local authorities and civil society organizations to find durable solutions to the issue of internal displacement.
