Data Management Officer in Tajikistan

Nargis Djuraeva, the Data Management Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in her native Tajikistan is active in convening the UN’s data experts to review evidence in reporting accurately on the UN’s collective support to help the country implement national priorities and the SDGs. 

This has been critical as the UN focused on operationalizing the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2023-2026). Nargis ensured she reached out to all relevant offices to ensure that the UN’s monitoring framework captures, in particular, human rights, gender responsive and sex-disaggregated data, ensuring no one is left behind.  She plays a key role in supporting the UN country team in producing evidence-based, gender responsive and result-based UN reports, including the UNCT’s Annual Results Report, with data that are used by state entities, development partners and donors for their analysis and decision-making processes.  Nargis is proud to have contributed to the corporate exercise to formulate a new UN system-wide Global Output indicators Framework that will facilitates the aggregation of the UN’s system-wide contribution to the advancement of the SDGs globally.
