Data Management Officer in Montenegro

Meet Vanja Scepovic, the Data Management Officer in the Resident Coordinator's Office in Montenegro. She supports the implementation of the new UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2023-2027), and ensures the UN country team can closely monitor its contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a robust results framework and a Joint Work Plan that capitalizes on synergies amongst contributing entities.

Vanja co-chairs the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning working group of the UN country team.  In this capacity she ensures joint UN support to national statistical system and the National Sustainable Development Council to identify and address SDG monitoring gaps, building upon the recently launched national SDG dashboard.

Vanja has trained and brought UN entities to use UN INFO, the UN-wide joint programming and monitoring platform. The improved quality of data available at UN INFO portal and in UN results reports led to enhanced coherence in programming and accountability to partners. Apart from safeguarding a culture of zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse through chairing a dedicated Task Force, she has also led the inter-agency initiative to produce the Gender Equality Scorecard assessment and Action Plan - a milestone for systematic advancement of gender mainstreaming in UN team in Montenegro.
