Data Management Officer in Botswana

Meet Rosinah Dialwa, the Data Management Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Botswana. She is responsible for setting up a mechanism to effectively monitor the UN’s collective progress of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2022-2026).  Rosinah supports 22 UN entities that work in Botswana in maximizing the UN INFO, the UN-wide joint programming and monitoring platform, to ensure that UN’s collective contribution to the Cooperation Framework is captured in a common platform. The analysis she provides identifies the progress of the UN country team against the common objectives in the Cooperation Framework, detects any challenges, and helps UN country team make course corrections.  As an interim co-chair of the Monitoring, evaluation and learning Group of the UN country team, she supports the UN’s effort to aggregate UN’s system-wide support to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Botswana by aligning the result framework of the Cooperation Framework with the global common output indicators, per UN Secretary General’s Data Strategy.

Furthermore, Rosina is, as part of the reference group, supporting the Government of Botswana to incorporate alternative administrative data from various sectors in the Government to improve the scope and the timeliness of the national statistical data to better monitor the progress towards the SDGs.
