Communications Officer in Kazakhstan

As the Communications Officer in the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in Kazakhstan, Elnara Bainazarova focuses on streamlining the communications efforts to advance the 2030 Agenda and enhancing the UN visibility in the country.

Elnara is proud of spearheading the premiere of the first-ever inclusive theatre “Qanattylar” to provide creative opportunities for people with special needs in Central Asia on UN Day 2022. This is an example of the UN’s ‘leaving no one behind’ mandate, elevating partnerships and implementing the disability and inclusion strategy. In 2021, Elnara led the photo exhibition “Ordinary Objects” involving all agencies, funds and programmes in Kazakhstan to promote the 16 Days of Activism to end Gender-based Violence campaign, which generated strong engagement on social media.
