Communications Officer in Chad

Dohou Pascal Ferso is the Communications Officer at the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Chad where he is responsible for communicating the work of the UN on the ground and enhancing public engagement through the UN country team website and social media platforms. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pascal helped design and implement a communications plan for the UN Chad. Working with other agencies in the UN Communications Group (UNCG), Pascal also contributes to the production of a bimonthly newsletter the ‘ECHO’ which highlights the work of different agencies in support of the Government. 

From his previous experiences as a development communication officer at UNICEF, Pascal helped train many of his colleagues on the basics of writing human interest stories, photography and managing social media platforms. He has also helped the UN Communications Group build a strong partnership with the national media to ensure information about the work of the different UN agencies is made available to the wider public.
