Data Management Officer in Azerbaijan

Meet Gular Fatali, the Data Management Officer supporting the Resident Coordinator – a national officer proudly serving in her own country.  Gular has stepped forward to help the UN country team to provide better support for monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by working with UN colleauges and the State Statistical Committee, especially around challenges of SDG data availability and data disaggregation.  Gular supported the Resident Coordinator in establishing a Government-UN Joint Task Force on SDG Data to take this work forward with the engagement of leading international and local experts. The resulting guidebook “Data Disaggregation for the SDGs” is a great new resource for practitioners exploring avenues to strengthen national capacities and seeking solutions to their challenges.
