Communications Officer in Angola

Ana Yekenha Ernesto is the Communications Officer in the Resident Coordinator's Office in Angola. She plays a pivotal role in elevating the UN's visibility in Angola, including through managing the UN social media accounts on multiple platforms and working to ensure targeted messaging reaches key audiences, particularly young people and women. She finds inspiration in giving voice and visibility to the most vulnerable.

To help engage people in the work of the UN in Angola and raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 Agenda, she supported the planning and organization of a full week of events to celebrate UN's anniversary, implementing a joint communication initiative, that included media articles.

As a former United Nations Volunteer (UNV), she coordinated all communication and outreach of the UNV's platform in Angola, - a space for internal collaboration created by the UNV's themselves as well as organizing live conferences, advocacy campaigns and award ceremonies.
